Winter Break.
Off to Sapporo for 3 nights, then Tokyo. So don’t worry if I don’t update this for a week and a half. I’m still alive, just having the time of my life.

Just to thank everyone at Home for sending presents, means a lot. Nice to get lots of useful little things (and lots of chocolate).
Meanwhile it has been one hell of a Christmas in Toya. Dressed up as Santa, performed Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, got an AWESOME camera, drank Guinness in a country OTHER than Ireland and received too much cake.
Really couldn’t have had it any better.

Mochitsuki
Today Mochitsuki ceremony was in full effect at the nursery. It is the traditional mochi-pounding ceremony in Japan; Mochi is a Japanese rice cake made of sticky rice pounded into paste and molded into shape.
